Christie Kingston

Christie helps her husband run their mixed cropping and merino wool farm in Goomalling in Western Australia's Noongar country, a global biodiversity hotspot. Southwest WA has warmed and dried more than in the eastern states, and the effects have been increasingly felt on her farm and in her region. Adaptation is getting harder, so she is inspired by people’s efforts to build thriving country communities where people love to live and natural assets are valued and protected. Christie is a mum, Landcarer, bookworm, community volunteer and retired independent shire councillor - and is very pleased to be part of FCA, where climate facts are faced and people pursue solutions together with urgency and optimism.
