Prize Competition - Win a Solar and Battery System Worth $15K

  1. Prize includes:
    1. Supply and install of a:
      1. 3 kW 12 by 270 Watt 60 cell monocrystalline solar panels provided by Flex
      2. Installation of roof-mounted grid-connected solar power system with Enphase AC inverters provided by Beam Energy Labs
      3. Integrated with 2 Enphase AC Batteries and 1 Envoy-S Metered +DRM provided by Enphase.
  2. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State Regulation. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier's requirements. Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.
  3. One prize (as above) will be provided to the survey respondent with the best answer to the question “Tell us why you’d love a solar system on your farm?” as judged by the Farmers for Climate Action judging panel on Tuesday 8th November 2016. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
  4. All entrants must submit ONLY their own original answers to the question. Any such answers cannot be previously published in any forum worldwide.
  5. Entries are to be received by Friday 4th November 2016 at 5pm.
  6. The competition will be judged on Tuesday 8th November. Winner will be notified by Friday 11th November by email. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  7. This prize can be installed any time between 12 November 2016 and 1 April 2017. The timing will be arranged by mutual negotiation between the prize winner, Beam and Enphase.
  8. Decision is final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
  9. The winners cannot be steering committee members of Farmers for Climate Action, or employees or contractors to The Climate Council or The Climate Media Centre or a member of the immediate family of either of these categories.
  10. If the winners are under 18 years of age, they must give signed permission from a parent or guardian to receive the prize.
  11. Goods and services not redeemable for cash.
  12. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  13. Farmers for Climate Action, its representatives and their associated agencies will not be liable for any loss, injury or damage whatsoever to any person or their belongings arising in connection with the offer or the prize.
  14. Farmers for Climate Action, its representatives and their associated agencies will not be liable or responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of the prize or any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur;
  15. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  16. Only Australian residents who own, co-own, operate or live on a farming business are eligible to enter.
  17. The prize can be installed on any farming business on mainland Australia or Tasmania.
  18. By entering the competition, you agree that your personal information (name, postcode, email and phone number) will be shared with the competition sponsors Beam Energy Labs and Enphase Energy. Beam and Enphase may contact you with information about their products.
  19. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to sign a winner's deed of release or any other relevant forms or agreements that the Promoter deems necessary, to provide proof of identity, proof of age, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency, age and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
  20. The Promoter reserves the right to rejudge in the event of an entrant, claiming to be a winner, being unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions.
