Victorian Coordinator

Corey grew up Western Australia where he studied wildlife biology and later did fieldwork on cropping and pastoral properties in WA, Queensland, and South Australia. He has since accumulated more than 20 years of experience in agri-environmental policy, advocacy, and science communication, including time with the Australian Conservation Foundation, the Climate Institute, and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has served on several advisory bodies, including the Australian Landcare Council and the board of the Cooperative Research Centre for Dryland Salinity, Treasury Wine Estates’ expert reference group on sustainable wine, and was recently appointed to the Victorian Government’s Climate Change Advisory Panel. He has consulted to a variety of organisations, including the Center for International Forestry Research, the Investor Group on Climate Change, and Fairtrade ANZ, for which he wrote a report on the climate risks to global coffee. Having spent the last few years bouncing between the US, Peru, Java, and Sydney, Corey recently lay his swag down in the Yarra Valley.
