You are invited to apply to attend the inaugural Farmers for Climate Action QLD Summit.
From Monday 5th March 2018 to Wednesday 7th March, we'll give 10 Queensland farmers and graziers an opportunity to learn from some of Queensland's leading experts on climate smart agriculture, energy policy and to explore threats and future opportunities for our industry.
We're looking for people with the potential to change the game, shape opinion and policy, and help agriculture and rural communities manage climate risks and prosper in a low-carbon world.
If you're a farmer or grazier and the above sounds like you - apply today by emailing email@example.com by Friday 16th February.
Together, we'll map out a path to rise above the immediate threats to our industry (including the destruction of the Galilee Basin and devastation of our groundwater) and collectively build our vision for a thriving, vibrant sector into the future.
By attending the summit you will:
• Directly shape Farmers for Climate Action's approach to tackling the looming challenges threatening Queensland's farmers, including expansion of the Galilee Basin and other fossil fuel encroachments
• Explore examples of cutting-edge mitigation and agricultural adaptation strategies, supporting farmers and rural communities to deal with climate change risk
• Hear from leading climate and energy experts and explore opportunities for rural Queensland
• Develop skills in media and communications, advocacy, community organising, and project planning
Applications to the Summit close at noon on Friday 16th February and places are strictly limited
The Farmers for Climate Action Summit will be held at the gorgeous Farm House Eumundi and will run from mid-afternoon on Monday 5th March, to 1pm on Wednesday 7th March - just time to get you home for the milking. (for our dairy farmers!)
Travel costs, accommodation and catering will be all covered by Farmers for Climate Action.

Just write a few paragraphs about yourself and farming background and why you would like to attend and email firstname.lastname@example.org by 9am, Friday 16th February, or Michael Kane if you would like to discuss your application on 0438 766 230
